A SECOND man has been arrested and charged following the murder of Rafal Lyko in Blantyre.

Police Scotland has confirmed that the 22-year-old suspect is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court today.

The Glasgow Times reported earlier that a 25-year-old suspect had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident on Monday, May 9.

Thomas Wilson, of Glasgow, made no plea when he appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court to face the murder charge.

The case was committed for further examination with Wilson released on bail meantime.

Mr Lyko, 36, was discovered dead at Greenhall Park in the town on February 11, 2019.

He had been on holiday from Poland to visit family residing in the Tayside area. His body was discovered just two days after he arrived in Scotland.
