POLICE are hunting a group of thugs who assaulted two men outside a Linwood pub at the weekend.
The victims, who are both in their early 20s, were attacked near the Clippens Inn at around 1.10am on Saturday.
Police said one of them suffered a fractured eye socket and this is being treated as serious assault.
The other victim was left with extensive bruising.
Both men received treatment at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, in Paisley, before officers were told about the attack.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify a number of men believed to have been involved in the incident. It is understood that no weapons were used.
