MUSIC lovers are being urged to tune into a charity event on radio this weekend to help raise funds for a good cause.

Renfrew DJ Matt Somerville has teamed up with Edwin Kelly and Graham Mcclymont, both from Paisley, to host a special show in aid of the Beatson Cancer Charity.

The fun event, starting at 7pm on Saturday, will take place in Graham’s 48 square metre loft and be streamed live on Edwin’s internet station, Immersion Radio.

Matt said: "We are sitting just now at over £2,400 and we only started organising the event a few weeks ago.

"We've got a few prizes that will be getting auctioned off on the night, such as a day at Knockhill Racing Circuit and a BMW Golfsport Stand Bag.

"We wanted to raise funds for the Beatson as we've all been affected by cancer in some way and I think a lot of people don't realise all the different services that the charity offers, so we want to help raise more awareness about this."
