FIRE crews were called to a blaze at a Renfrew chip shop on Wednesday afternoon.
They arrived at Milano's, in Paisley Road, at around 3.10pm and managed to extinguish the flames before anyone was injured.
Police said the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added: "We were alerted at 3.08pm on Wednesday, June 22, to reports of a ground floor fire affecting a restaurant in Paisley Road, Renfrew.
"Operations control immediately mobilised two fire appliances to the location and firefighters extinguished the fire. There were no reports of any casualties.
"Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe."
