THOUSANDS of people gathered at Holmpark Sports Ground on Saturday for Bishopton’s 50th annual gala day.
To celebrate the milestone, organisers installed a main stage this year to allow Rod Stewart and ABBA tribute acts help people travel back in time to the 1970s.
Guests young and old also enjoyed lots of food, live entertainment and games around the field, as well as a variety of stalls run by local businesses, organisations and charities.
Alan Bowater, chairperson of the Bishopton Week committee, said: “Saturday was an absolutely fantastic day and it was probably the busiest event we’ve had.
“Hopefully there will be another 50 more to come.”
