HUNDREDS of people enjoyed a taste of country life during the Kilbarchan Agricultural Show.
The event, which took place at Monklands Farm on Saturday, June 18, saw the sunny weather bringing out crowds of riders and animal enthusiasts.
Lilias Day’s school queen and her attendant were on hand to present trophies to the owners of the top sheep, cattle and horses.
While prizes were presented, there was also plenty to keep guests of all ages entertained, including woodcarvers showing off their skills, as well as a host of stalls for bargain hunters to browse through.
Trevor Marsh, president of the Kilbarchan Agricultural Show, told The Gazette: “The event went very well and it was nice that a lot of the farmers were able to socialise again since coming out of lockdown.
“The Malcolm family have been very generous in letting us use their field for many years, so we’d like to thank them for all their help.”
