A PHARMACY group with branches across Renfrewshire has been honoured for its efforts to help people during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Reach Pharmacy, which has stores in Johnstone, Elderslie and Howwood, received the Covid Champion prize at the annual Scottish Pharmacist Awards.
It was in recognition of staff demonstrating resilience, dedication and initiative despite the challenges faced over the past two years.
Neeraj Salwan, of Reach Pharmacy’s Elderslie branch, told The Gazette: “Everyone was saying ‘well done’ to me as the pharmacist owner on the night but the reality is that this is all down to our Reach Pharmacy teams serving the local communities and neighbourhoods they are situated in.
“They stayed open when many businesses were closed, to make sure all customers received their medicines, essential pharmacy services and appropriate healthcare advice.”
“Well done to all involved in the Reach Pharmacy family, all your hard work paid off and this is a little thank you in recognition of that.”
