A SPECIAL concert will be held at Lochwinnoch Golf Club later this month to support the recovery of the live music industry.
Taking place on Saturday, August 13, the event will see up-and-coming folk group Eabhal performing traditional songs alongside contemporary and self-penned tunes.
The five-piece band, which was formed on the Hebridean island of Uist, also draws influence from other musical cultures.
Fiddle player Jamie MacDonald said: “We are delighted to be playing in Lochwinnoch this summer, as it’s such a beautiful place.
“We launched our debut album recently and it has been really well received, so we’re excited to play our new material.”
Dr Morag Thow, of the Lochwinnoch Arts Festival, added: “We are delighted to welcome Eabhal as our third Scotland on Tour event.
“We are honoured to be able to host so many Scottish musicians in our beautiful conservation village and support them after they were unable to perform live over the dreadful lockdowns.”
