A much-loved steakhouse has made the decision to close after six years due to 'uncertain times'.

Little Steak House in Paisley is now permanently closed after owners made the decision to 'hang up our aprons' amid financial struggles, after the Covid pandemic put a strain on the hospitality industry.

A spokesperson for the restaurant posted a statement on social media, which read: "To all our wonderful customers, it is with the heaviest of hearts that we have decided to close the Little Steak House after over six years.

"You have all been a delight, you have put our Little Steak House on the map with your amazing reviews and consistent custom and we thank you, but sadly hospitality has taken an absolute battering over the last few years starting with Covid and now entering uncertain times with recession glooming, we have decided it is time to hang up our aprons."

The team also took the opportunity to thank their local suppliers and encouraged customers to continue to dine at local restaurants.

They thanked their staff for their loyalty, hard work and professionalism.

Customers began to offer their sympathies, with one commenting: "So sorry to hear your closing the Little Steak House. We had many a nice meal there. Good luck to you and all the staff in the future."

Another said: "Sorry to hear this you will be missed had many a beautiful meal in the Little Steak House good luck to all the staff."

A third wrote: "Absolutely gutted for you guys. This news is such a blow for Paisley and all of you individually. It’s been a pleasure knowing you and wishing you all the best."
