A POPULAR leisure destination is set to host its very own pumpkin patch as the spooky season fast approaches.

Visitors to XSite Braehead will be able to pick up their own Hallowe'en decoration, free of charge, on Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22, from noon to 4pm each day.

Pumpkin pickers will have up to 20 minutes inside the patch, which will be suitably dressed with hay bales and wheelbarrows to provide an outdoor farm feel.

Halloween cut-out boards will allow for some ghostly fun to be had, creating the perfect spot for customers to pose with their chosen pumpkin and post some spooky snaps to social media.

To keep visitors entertained and share top tips on how to create the perfect jack-o-lantern at home, live pumpkin carving demonstrations will also be held during the event.

Rosalind Gibson, marketing manager at XSite Braehead, said: "We are so excited to host enthusiastic pumpkin pickers at XSite Braehead this year ahead of Halloween.

"Customers who are looking for something a bit different to do with the kids, in the lead up to spooky season, can plan our warm and dry indoor pumpkin patch into their seasonal activity plans.

"Halloween is a great time to have some fun as a family and I have no doubt that our customers will love our ghoulish backdrops."

Pumpkins will be limited to one per group, with the pumpkin patch operating on a first come first served basis.
