THE latest store to open at Braehead Shopping Centre aims to fill a gap in the wardrobe of anyone looking for some on-trend casual fashion.

Visitors to the busy Renfrew retail hub can now visit a new GAP store.

Located in the upper mall, adjacent to Next, it has been hailed as a welcome addition to the fashion offering at Braehead.

Now firmly established as one of the world’s most iconic apparel and accessories brands, GAP was launched in San Francisco more than half a century ago.

It has since gained a reputation as being an authority of modern American-style and a champion of fashion individuality.

The new store at Braehead covers more than 1,300 square feet and caters for men, women, children, toddlers and even babies.

Peter Beagley, centre director at Braehead, told The Gazette: “GAP is one of the world’s most recognisable brands for casual clothing and our shoppers will now have even more choice when it comes to fashion.

“If anyone wants to be right on trend with their casual clothing, then GAP is the store to visit.”

Other fashion retailers based at Braehead include River Island, New Look, Superdry, USC, Suit Direct and Quiz.

Meanwhile, staff at Braehead are preparing for the mall’s Elves Behavin’ Badly event on Sunday, November 27.

From 11am, visitors to the lower food mall will be able to join Elfie and Elvie for some festive fun that will include games and carol singing.

The event is free but spaces will be limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
