A LUCKY woman was delighted to have her shopping bill paid for by Tony Fitzpatrick.
The St Mirren legend visited the Morrisons store in Johnstone on Thursday to promote his competition website Legacy Comps Prize Bonanza.
Cheryl McLachlan told The Gazette: "I was so pleasantly surprised to get that wee tap on the shoulder from Tony Fitzpatrick and to pay for my shopping is absolutely amazing."
Tony said: "This is the main reason I started Legacy Comps Prize Bonanza to be able to do what we done today and to see Cheryl's reaction makes it worth it!"
Julie Scott, the store's community champion, added: "We were as always delighted to have Tony Fitzpatrick and his Legacy Comps team in the store as are firmly behind what they do for so many people."
The competition website allows people to buy tickets for the chance to win prizes and help make a difference to their local community.
Legacy Comps Prize Bonanza uses a random prize draw generator to choose the winning numbers, with every draw broadcast live on Facebook.
The next live draw will take place at Thorn Athletic Football Academy, in Johnstone, on Wednesday, February 8, starting at 8pm.
Prizes up for grabs include £500 in cash, a £150 Morrisons gift card, 4'' LG TV and Ultimate SPA day for four.
Thorn Athletic Football Academy recently held an opening ceremony for their new grass football pitch, with nearly 200 people attending the event.
Tony said: "We are delighted to take the live draw to our partners Thorn Athletic who do so much for their community. It was also amazing to see their new pitch opening last week."
