DRIVERS are being warned to expect delays as timber fencing and landscaping works get underway in Renfrewshire this week.

The project will take place on land adjacent to the A8 westbound carriageway and Main Road in Langbank.

Work at this location will start on Thursday, February 16, and is due to end on Friday, March 3.

The project, which will take place during weekday off-peak hours, will see the current timber boundary fencing being replaced with a five rail fence.

Traffic management measures will be in place, including the installation of temporary traffic lights in Main Road, Langbank, and a lane closure on the A8 westbound between Langbank Roundabout and the Langbank on-slip road.

A total closure of the A8 Langbank westbound off-slip road is required, with traffic to be instructed to continue onto Woodhall Roundabout.

From here, motorists will join the A8 eastbound carriageway and, at Langbank Roundabout, will take the second exit to join Main Road.

All work is weather dependent and advance signage will be installed to inform road users of the closure.
