A SOCIAL club in Linwood is set to host a Mother Day's afternoon tea this weekend to raise funds for a good cause.
A delicious spread of sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, savoury treats and pretty cakes will be served at the event.
It will take place at the Linwood Welfare and Recreational Social Club, in Napier Street, on Sunday, running from 2pm to 4pm.
All proceeds raised from the event will go towards building a war memorial on a patch of land in the town's Bridge Street.
