Renfrewshire's Depute Provost made a special guest appearance at a live draw organised by St Mirren legend Tony Fitzpatrick's competition website.

Cathy McEwan joined the ex-football star and Jed McCabe during the recent event, which was held in the Renfrewshire Council chambers.

The Legacy Comps website sees people buy tickets for the chance to win prizes and help make a difference to their community.

Winning numbers are selected at random, with each draw shown live on Facebook.

Scott Lamb, who works at Linwood-based construction company Consilium Contracting Services, was the lucky winner of the first two prizes on offer.

Denise Brown and Joe Wallace, both from Johnstone, also received £500 in cash and a table for 10 at a St Vincent's Hospice fundraising dinner respectively.

Depute Provost Cathy McEwan said: "I think it is absolutely fantastic what Legacy Comps do for the people of Renfrewshire."

Tony added: "It was such a privilege to do a live draw at the Renfrewshire chamber. I would like to thank Provost Lorraine Cameron and Chris Dalrymple for their help in making it happen.

"I'd also like to thank Depute Provost Cathy McEwan for joining us on the show."

The event was sponsored by Paisley-based mechanic Auto Fix.
