The missing 31-year-old, who is from Irvine, boarded the 9.30pm train at Glasgow Central heading to the town, but got off in Paisley after texting his partner to say "something dodgy" was happening.

"Where are you Evan? Did you just disappear? Did someone take you? We want to you get back home with your family safe and well. We're desperate to find you and we're extremely frustrated despite our efforts.

“Whatever has happened to you...you don't deserve ANY of it.

"You're one of the best, one of the good guys. Kind, caring, fun, positive...and you mean so much to so many people.

“Begging and hoping we'll find you.

“Your disappearance is haunting and consuming us.

“We won't give up until you're back with your family.

 “Please come home.”
