Families are being urged to swing by a circus-themed event in Renfrewshire next month.

Renfrew Gala Day is being staged at Robertson Park on Sunday, June 4, from noon to 5pm.

As well as the chance to learn circus skills, activities will include rugby taster sessions, face painting and balloon modelling.

The funfair is back for thrillseekers young and old and there will be a selection of inflatables provided by local Renfrew company Ally Bally's Bouncy Castles.

The Gazette:

Bargain hunters will be able to browse through a wide range of stalls, while the McMaster Centre tearoom will be serving cakes and a selection of drinks.

There will also be stalls from local food traders within the main park, with local musicians and dancers providing live entertainment throughout the day.

Renfrewshire Provost Lorraine Cameron said: "Gala days are a great way to bring the local community together and really celebrate what makes Renfrew such a great place to live.

"It's bound to be a brilliant day so mark your calendars and come along!"
