Families will gather for a community fun day in Johnstone later this month.

Fordbank Primary is the setting for the Corseford Fun Day, which takes place on Saturday, June 24, and is free to attend.

From 11am until noon, there will be a 'quiet hour' for youngsters with additional support needs and the event will then be open to all from noon until 4pm.

It is being organised by Corseford Tenants and Residents Association, which is being supported by the National Lottery Community Fund and Tesco Community Fund this year.

George MacDonald, secretary of Corseford Tenants and Residents Association, said: "This is an event we raise funds for throughout the year to provide free activities for children of all ages including a wide range of inflatable equipment, free ice cream and other games and activities.

"We do this to ensure that no youngster in the area misses out due to household income."
