Petrolheads were all geared up for a great day out as CarFest returned to Paisley town centre at the weekend.

Classic, vintage and specialist custom cars were on show on Saturday, as well as muscle cars, supercars and motorbikes.

A police motorbike and a vintage fire engine were also on display at the special event, which was staged at The Cenotaph, High Street, County Square and Gilmour Street.

As well as treats for motor enthusiasts, there was plenty of family-friendly fun on offer, such as face painting and balloon modelling.

There was also a children's Grand Prix, bumper cars and giant Scalextric, powered by bikes, in the Piazza Shopping Centre.

Attendees were able to enjoy live music at busking zones and those looking for last-minute Father's Day gifts could browse a variety of stalls at The Cenotaph.

Among the local businesses featured in the town centre market were Paisley Craft Beer Co and Paisley Pie Co, Cards, Party Balloons and John McKay Jewellers, as well as Fab Fancies, the Auld Atelier, Kettle Black, What If and the Butterfly Room, Paisley Shopmobility and Taste Buds Paisley. 

The event was organised by Bill's Automotive Detailing and sponsored by business improvement organisation Paisley First.

Colette Cardosi, chair of Paisley First, said: "Paisley's CarFest has always been a favourite in our calendar of events and this year did not disappoint.

"With fabulous cars on display, free kids activities and entertainment and of course, our town centre market, there really was something for everyone.
