Johnstone District Bowling Association celebrated its 75th anniversary at the weekend.
More than 70 people from 16 bowling clubs and four bowling associations attended a reception at Arthurlie Bowling Club, in Barrhead, on Saturday, July 22.
A game of bowls was cut short due to bad weather but participants were able to enjoy tasty food at a buffet, as well as refreshments.
Renfrewshire Provost Lorraine Cameron also made a speech at the event.
Jim Frew, secretary of Johnstone District Bowling Association, told The Gazette: "We didn't get out to play much bowls because of the weather but the celebrations were good.
"We had great feedback from everybody who went there, who said they thoroughly enjoyed themselves."
