Members of Kilbarchan Pipe Band recently celebrated another successful summer school with a sell-out concert.
The summer school runs for a full week during the school holidays and attracts children and young people of all ages.
Five days of concentrated hard work learning the chanter or drums is celebrated with a showcase concert for family and friends at Kilbarchan Parish Church.
Many of those who have attended the summer school have gone on to join the pipe band.
Local councillor Gillian Graham said: "I had the opportunity to meet up with Kilbarchan Pipe Band at their summer school last week.
"Over 20 children and young people took part, learning chanter and drums.
"It was so inspiring to see them learn with the support of volunteer band members.
"It's wonderful to see our young people learning about traditional music.
"Music education has many benefits including developing motor skills, creativity, collaboration, and social skills. From watching the summer school kids, it's most importantly fun!
"Congratulations to all involved, in particular, Pipe Major Brian Knight, Pipe Sergeant Melissa, Michael Kerr and all the team."
