Spectacular churches and an activity centre for visually-impaired people are just a few of the intriguing locations visitors can experience as part of Renfrewshire Doors Open Days.

This year's events will see over more than venues open their doors for the chance to visit them in person on Saturday, September 2, and Sunday, September 3.

Buildings offering people the chance to visit and delve deeper into their history include the striking Paisley Methodist Central Hall, Tannahill's Cottage and Bishopton Parish Church.

Outdoor spaces taking part include Erskine Community Allotments and the RSPB nature reserve in Lochwinnoch.

Sight Scotland Veterans, based in Hawkhead Road, Paisley, is another location offering visitors a look inside from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, September 2.

John Reilly, senior centre officer at the Hawkhead centre, said: "We are delighted to be taking part in the Doors Open Days festival which celebrates our local community.

"Our participation in Doors Open Days was inspired by our veterans who were very keen to show their family and friends all the great activities they take part in at the Hawkhead Centre.

"Each day our expert teams coordinate activities for veterans to explore interests, reconnect with their passions, develop new skills, and meet new friends in a safe, welcoming environment.

"Our activities include archery or acoustic shooting, using the gym, making a bird table or bench in woodwork, arts and crafts, music, I.T, virtual reality headsets, the list is really endless."
