Supermarket staff have taken part in a special butterfly-themed event this month to raise vital funds for seriously ill children and their families.
Colleagues at the Morrisons store in Erskine have been involved in a nationwide Butterfly Trail relay event in aid of Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).
The Butterfly Trail is a month-long event that has seen the 'Together for Short Lives' butterfly travelling across the country from store-to-store raising vital awareness and funds for local children’s hospices and the families they care for.
Elspeth Roxburgh, community champion at the Erskine store, said: "Erskine raised an amazing £1,379 for our local charity CHAS.
"The store did different activities which included sponge the staff, leg waxing, a sponsored silence and an in-store raffle.
"We even had special guest Mickey Mouse, thanks to local business Pandemonium."
The winners of the raffle were Polly, who won a bottle of Jimmy Choo Perfume, John, who won a limited edition Fray Bentos Dartboard, and Marianne, who won Swarovski jewellery and a jewellery box.
Elspeth handed the 'Together for Short Lives' butterfly butterfly over to Brandon, community champion at the Morrisons store in Helensburgh, for the next part of the butterfly's journey.
Elspeth added: "I can't thank everyone enough for their donations and help over the last few weeks."
