COPS are carrying out a search at a property in Bridge of Weir as part of an intelligence-led operation.
It comes after residents reported there was a large police presence in the village at around 5pm on Monday, October 9.
Now, officers have confirmed they were executing a warrant on a property on Crosslee Road as part of an ongoing inquiry.
It is understood the investigation is following an intelligence-led operation, but police would not give any further details.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers are executing a warrant at a property in Crosslee Road, Bridge of Weir as part of an ongoing inquiry.
"It follows an intelligence-led operation. Enquiries are ongoing."
