Demolition and construction works at a Renfrewshire school are awaiting planning approval.
An application submitted by the council, which was validated this month, proposes tearing down two classroom blocks within the playground of Bishopton Primary.
In their place, the plans show the construction of a single-storey classroom block to be finished externally in roughcast render.
A council spokesperson said: “The new classroom block will be a permanent facility, containing two classrooms, and is part of our ongoing programme of school maintenance.
“Of the two temporary buildings due to be removed, only one had recently been in use as a classroom, the other was only being used for storage.
“The new block will provide an enhanced learning experience for pupils, with a covered outdoor learning space, and improved internal facilities.”
