A Howwood hospice is encouraging people to donate to its Christmas fundraising campaign.

St Vincent's Hospice, which provides palliative care for people across Renfrewshire, is gearing up for its 12 Days of Christmas campaign.

Donations will help to give patients an hour of specialist care, as well as festive stockings, blankets and decor.

It will also allow the hospice to provide festive events and activities, such as movie night, afternoon tea, therapet visits, carol singers and Christmas card crafting.

Emma Donald, community, corporate and event manager at St Vincent's Hospice, told The Gazette: "Our 12 Days of Christmas is a really special event and brings so much joy to our patients and families and allows us to completely transform our Little Hospice With The Big Heart.

"Having activities like our Christmas movie nights, afternoon tea, carol singers and mince pies and mulled wine ensures that our patients and families can embrace the festive season in comfort and with their loved ones at this special time of year.

"Let's make this festive season brighter and more meaningful for patients and their families.

"Together, we can create a season of love, compassion, and togetherness during this significant time of year."
