A 49-year-old man has been arrested for an alleged theft by housebreaking in Renfrewshire.
Police were alerted to an alarm activation at Marks and Spencer on Renfrew Road in Paisley at around 1am on Monday, January 1.
Officers attended and CCTV picked up a man making off from the store.
Police say he was traced nearby, searched and found to be in possession of alcohol stolen from the store.
The man is being held in custody to appear in court.
