A MAN was arrested after acting "suspiciously" amid a police report. 

It comes after officers were alerted to Gilmartin Road in Linwood in the early hours of Wednesday morning after concern from residents.

Reports were made to police just after 3am.

An investigation was launched by the force which resulted in a 41-year-old male being arrested the following day. 

A warrant for the man's arrest was also discovered to be outstanding by police.

The man is set to appear in court at a later date.
