A VIOLENT sex attacker who struck while on five bail orders has been locked up for four and a half years.
Kieran Gemmel raped a 14-year-old girl at a property in Johnstone on March 6, 2022.
The ordeal involved him choking and biting the teenager as well as restraining her.
The 20-year-old pounced having earlier assaulted another 14-year-old girl with intent to rape also in Johnstone on January 22, 2022.
Jurors concluded this attack included Gemmell groping, biting and scratching the teenager.
Gemmel was sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow having earlier been convicted of the crimes.
It emerged he was on five different bail orders at the time from 2020 and 2021.
Gemmel was sentenced to four and a half years for the rape with a concurrent two years for the other attack.
He was also put on the sex offenders list.
