A brand new Taekwon-do club has launched in Renfrew as the owners look to bring a new approach to the sport.

Phoenix Taekwon-do sets itself apart from others by embracing a holistic approach to martial arts, by "emphasising not only the physical aspects" but also "looking into the rich traditions" within the sport.

The approach creates a comprehensive training environment that is suitable for all ages and skill levels.

Led by Master Scott McMillan and Mr Kev Wyllie, the club's founders boast a remarkable combined experience of nearly 80 years in martial arts training, military operations, and private security.
