Hawkhead Road in Paisley has been closed northbound to allow Scottish Water to carry out emergency repairs, Renfrewshire Council has advised.
The road is shut between Barrhead Road roundabout and Kingsley Care Home and will be closed until the repair work is complete.
According to the local authority, this is currently estimated to take two days.
The following diversion is in place: Barrhead Road, Lonend, Mill Street, Glasgow Road, Hawkhead Road.
