The company say that it is part of the network investment programme to help economic growth across Scotland.

Clear signage ahead of the closure will be in place for drivers.

A spokesperson for SP Energy Networks said: “The road closure at West Glen Road, Kilmacolm, between 25 April to 27 June, will enable us to carry out vital refurbishment work on our overhead lines in the area, part of our ongoing network investment programme to help unlock economic growth across Scotland.

"Clear signage will be in place in advance of the work beginning alongside a traffic management plan.

"We would like to apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused as we undertake this vital work.”
