Seven pupils from East Renfrewshire secondary schools are working on a live construction project in partnership with Taylor Wimpey West Scotland.

The opportunity was organised as part of the Level 5 Foundation Apprenticeship in Construction at West Scotland College's Paisley campus, where the students are being tasked with designing, building, and installing health and safety signage at two of the housebuilder's sites.

The students, from Barrhead High, Eastwood High, St Luke's High, St Ninian's High, and Woodfarm High, are receiving support and guidance from the team at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland along with on-site visits.

David Hunter, trade development manager for the housebuilder, said, "We are delighted to be forging this new relationship with West to support the learning and development of our young people.
