Police were called during rush hour after a "prime suspect" escaped from a nearby park.
Cops attended the road near an unnamed park in the town this morning, February 13, after a local swan had stopped traffic.
Glasgow Road police joked about the situation on X, formerly known as Twitter.
It comes after they were forced to intercept another swan at Victoria Park in Glasgow last Friday.
The animal was ushered to safety by an officer as they got the "rascal" back home.
In the post, the force said: "#GlasgowRP are convinced the local swans have been talking about us.
"After our antics at the weekend in Victoria Park, we were close to calling in the "Flying Squad" this morning.
"We managed to get this rascal back home, away from the danger of the morning rush hour traffic!"
