A man has had his motor seized after being stopped by cops in Renfrewshire.

Officers say they stopped the road user in Johnstone on Thursday, February 15, for allegedly having no valid insurance.

Following that, the motorist was handed a £300 fine, six points, and had his car seized.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Earlier tonight, Dumbarton Road Policing stopped this vehicle in Johnstone for having no insurance.

"The driver was issued with a conditional offer and his vehicle was seized."
