A care home in Paisley has been recognised as one of the top 20 care homes in Scotland, according to residents and their families.

Mosswood Care Home was chosen among 991 competitors across the country and was presented the award by the UK’s reviews guide to care homes, carehome.co.uk.

The awards are distinguished based on reviews from residents, friends, and relatives.

Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of carehome.co.uk, said: "We now have over 300,000 reviews of care homes on carehome.co.uk, which means we can give a really good insight into the kind of care and facilities offered by thousands of care homes all over the UK.

"Our reviews show the standard of a care home’s facilities and the quality of their care and support, staff, activities and nutrition as well as if the care home is good value for money.

"We would like to congratulate Mosswood Care Home on being a Top 20 care home in Scotland as their reviews show they provide an excellent standard of care.

"It is such an achievement to be named as a top-rated care home by the residents who actually receive the care as well as their family and friends.”

Hannah Spreckley, marketing executive at Mosswood Care Home, said: “This award is a remarkable milestone for Mosswood Care Home, especially as we celebrate our 10-year anniversary this month.

"It underscores our enduring commitment to providing exceptional care and reflects our ethos of prioritising the well-being and happiness of our residents above all else.

“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, who tirelessly strive to create a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for our residents."
