A father and son who were caught with a huge amount of drugs and a gun have been jailed.
James Murray, 58, was caged for four years while Connor Murray, 29, has been locked up for six years.
The criminal pair were sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow on Friday, September 6 in connection with firearm and drugs offences.
We reported how the duo were arrested in March after cops searched a property and vehicle on Greenock Road in Bishopton, Renfrewshire.
Officers went on to recover cocaine with an estimated street value of around £149,000, along with a six-figure sum of cash and a gun.
Following the sentencing today, Detective Inspector Gordon Smith said: "This was a significant seizure that has undoubtedly disrupted the supply of illegal drugs in our community and taken a dangerous weapon off our streets.
“It also underlines our continued commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country's Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
“We hope that this sends a clear message that that we will continue to relentlessly pursue and bring to justice those involved in such criminal activities.
“Information from the public is crucial and I would urge anyone with information or concerns about drugs in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
