A charity shop has praised the community's support after they were “broken into”.
A post on social media on behalf of the team at Barnardo’s in Linwood thanked people for their “kind words and consideration” following the shocking incident.
A resident reported on social media at the weekend that the front door glass panel had been “smashed in” at the shop on Bridge Street.
The news prompted a shocked response from other residents with one calling it “disgusting” and another expressing their disbelief that a charity shop could be targeted in this way.
Police Scotland confirmed they received a report of a break-in and theft at a premises in Bridge Street in Linwood at around 6.05am on Saturday, September 7.
A spokesperson for the force added: “Enquiries are ongoing."
