A remembrance service is set to be held at a Paisley hospital for parents and families who have lost a baby.
The annual So Briefly Known service will take place at the Royal Alexandra Hospital on October 6.
The event, a precursor to Baby Loss Awareness Week from October 9 to 15, provides a space for bereaved families to remember their baby's life.
Bereavement midwives, including Holly Wright, will be present alongside other midwives from the hospital and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s (NHSGGC) Spiritual Care Team, offering support to families.
Candles will be provided for parents and families to light in memory of their baby or babies.
They can also place a tag on a memory tree at the service and take candles home to participate in the Global Wave of Light at 7pm on October 15.
The So Briefly Known service will be held at 7pm in the Sanctuary of the main hospital building, with everyone welcome to attend.
Holly, NHSGGC bereavement midwife based at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, said: "Our annual service, So Briefly Known, is for anyone who has been affected by pregnancy or baby loss.
"It gives families an opportunity to acknowledge how precious their baby’s life was, and what their loss means to them."
Last year saw the introduction of the Baby Loss Memorial Book, a joint initiative by the Scottish Government and National Records of Scotland.
This free, optional service provides a physical record for parents who have experienced pregnancy or baby loss prior to 24 weeks, should they wish to commemorate their loss.
