Nine boys have been awarded the prestigious King's Badge by the 8th Paisley Boys' Brigade Company.

The accolade, which is the highest award the organisation can offer, was presented at the annual Company Inspection and Display event at Paisley West Church.

The recipients - Daniel Docherty, Jordan Halliday, Adam Jack, Lewis Kerr, Max McGowan, Aneiti Matthew, Darren Queen, Aaron Urquhart and Ewan Watson - were recognised for their dedication and commitment.

They also contributed over 288 combined hours to service to their BB company.

The celebratory evening saw Simon McNeill, the Paisley and District Battalion Development Officer, in attendance as the event's chief guest.

A packed programme throughout the night allowed the youngsters to demonstrate their skills and talents.

The event also saw the presentation of the President's Badge, the second-highest award in The Boys' Brigade, to Matthew Clarke, Matthew Jack, and Stephen Wilson.
