Pirate-themed adventure in Paisley to take place this summer

The Pirates of Paisley Summer Trail will run from June 28 to August 11, transforming Paisley town centre into a "swashbuckling adventure".

This family-friendly event invites visitors to take part in a treasure hunt to find the Golden Treasure before Captain Blackbrick, dodging sharks, monkeys, and cannonballs along the way.

(Image: Supplied) Elaine Templeton, chair of Paisley First, said: "We know that our summer brick trails are a huge hit with families of all ages from across Scotland, we can’t wait to welcome visitors to Paisley this summer for this iconic free day out.

"Lots of our businesses have special offers and giveaways for those families who are out and about enjoying the trail.

"We can’t guarantee sunshine, but we can promise a great day out for all the family."

The trail uses toy bricks to bring the pirate adventure to life, with five themed selfie zones including a pirate ship and a shark encounter.

(Image: Supplied) (Image: Supplied) Participants can collect a trail leaflet and activity sheet from the Paisley Centre, Piazza Shopping Centre, or Lagoon Leisure Centre.

Completed entry forms can be posted in the Pirates of Paisley post-boxes at either shopping centre for a chance to win a prize, as two children’s summer hampers are up for grabs.

Families are also encouraged to share their photos from the day using #PiratesofPaisley on social media.
