A popular sports podcast is stepping onto the stage for its first-ever live show.

The Paisley Pirates Podcast will host the event at The Wynd Centre in Paisley on Saturday, August 30.

It will celebrate the legacy of the Paisley Pirates ice hockey team and bring fans together for an evening of stories, laughter, and nostalgia.

It is set to feature a panel featuring members of the Paisley Pirates’ 1997 Scottish Cup-winning squad.

Fans old and new will have the chance to hear untold stories and relive a defining moment in Scottish ice hockey history.

The event will also include a Q&A session, allowing the audience to put their questions directly to the panel.

Calum Wilson, host of the podcast, said: "We’ve been so excited to host this event, ever since it was a random idea when recording the first episode with Ian Turley and Rab Henderson.

"We’re really wanting to make this an intimate and personal event for the fans, and something to help hype up the next season.

"The panel are incredibly excited to be back in Paisley to celebrate the heritage of the team, and their cup-winning game, and as a fan myself, I’m looking forward to helping share their story."

With just 200 tickets available, organisers hope to provide fans with a personal and intimate atmosphere.

Tickets are priced at £15 and are available exclusively through the Pirates’ official website at www.paisleypirates.co.uk.

Limited-edition merchandise will be available on the night, alongside a raffle offering exclusive prizes such as a signed poster and a one-off event jersey.

The live show will also be recorded for later release on platforms including Spotify, YouTube, Audible, Castbox, and Amazon Music.

While this is the podcast’s first live event, organisers have hinted at the possibility of making it a regular fixture, depending on the team’s season schedule.

The live show aims to capture the podcast's spirit in person, offering fans a rare opportunity to celebrate the team’s history and "meet the legends who built the legacy".
