Cockerel found at university campus in Paisley after wandering streets

A cockerel has been found in a surprising Paisley location.

The bird was spotted wandering the area by locals on July 12, with some posting pictures and videos on social media.

It ended its jaunt through the town at the University of the West of Scotland campus on High Street.

The cockerel was safely collected at the site by staff from the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and is currently residing at the organisation's centre in Dumbarton.
