Drivers warned of overnight road closures on M8 this week

Drivers are being warned of overnight road closures on the M8 this week.

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential structural investigations on Renfrew Road at Junction 27 of the M8 from Monday, September 29 until Thursday, October 2, between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night. 

From Monday, there will be an overnight closure of the A741 northbound [towards Renfrew].

Traffic will be diverted via Gallowhill Road, Arkleston Road and Renfrew Road.

On Tuesday, there will be an overnight closure of the A741 southbound [towards Paisley].

Traffic will be diverted via Arkleston Road, Gallowhill Road and Renfrew Road. 

On Wednesday, there will be an overnight closure of the M8 westbound Junction 27 off-slip and lane closures on the A741 in both directions.

Traffic will be directed to continue on the M8 westbound until Junction 29 and follow the A726, St James Street and Niddy Street to join Renfrew Road. 

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
