A boy has been charged after a bus driver was "racially abused" near Braehead Shopping Centre.
The incident allegedly happened on a bus in the King's Inch Road area of Renfrew around 7pm on Tuesday, October 7.
Cops have confirmed that the boy has been charged in connection with racial abuse and assault.
The McGill's bus driver was reportedly terrorised by a group of youths who allegedly shouted racist language.

The yobs were also allegedly banging on the glass of the bus before passengers intervened and chased the teens from the vehicle, in a video published on social media.
As the bus began to pull away, it was stopped in its tracks after the emergency button to open the doors was pressed from the outside.
Upon the doors opening, one of the passengers was allegedly then spat on by one of the youths.
Enquiries are ongoing and a report has been submitted to the relevant authorities.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A boy has been charged following a report of racial abuse and assault which took place on a bus in the King’s Inch Road area of Renfrew around 7pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
“Enquiries are continuing. A report has been submitted to the relevant authorities."
McGill’s previously said it was supporting the driver and would provide on-board CCTV footage to the police to help with their investigations.
A spokesperson for McGill’s Buses said: “We are aware of this shocking incident and are offering our support to the driver involved.
“We also pass on our thanks to the passengers who offered their assistance at the time.
“The bus has CCTV on board and footage will be passed to Police Scotland to assist them in their inquiries.”
