Improvement works are set to begin at a leisure centre pool in Renfrewshire.
Essential upgrade and maintenance work, led by OneRen, will be carried out at the Lagoon Leisure Centre in Paisley, led by OneRen.
The swimming pool will be closed from December 8 to 27 while the work is carried out.

These works will involve an upgrade of the pool’s filtration system to improve water quality and support the operator’s sustainability goals.
They will also include upgrades to the locker facilities and circulation flow meter, as well as the installation of new pool covers and LED lighting.
These changes aim to improve the swimming experience for the 20000 people who use the Lagoon Leisure Centre pool each year, while also reducing the centre’s environmental impact.
During the closure, OneRen members will be able to use alternative facilities at Erskine Pool, Johnstone Community Sports Hub, ON-X Linwood and Renfrew Victory Baths.
Swimming lessons at the Lagoon will be paused during this period.
Direct debit payments for swimming lessons will be automatically suspended.

A spokesperson for OneRen said: “This is another important investment in the Lagoon Leisure Centre as part of our programme of improvement across all of our facilities.
“We are excited to see the improvements in user experience become a reality.
“While swimming lessons will need to be paused during the closure, we are keen to highlight that OneRen members can take advantage of being able to use our other pools for general swimming for this short period of closure.

Pool users have already been notified of the works.
Lagoon members have also been given the option to pause their monthly membership payments while the improvements take place.
