Overnight lane closures will come into effect on the M8 next week.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will carry out essential bridge maintenance on the M8 between junctions 27 and 28, at White Cart Viaduct, from December 1 to 6 between the hours of 8pm and 6am.
Initial work until December 4 will see overnight westbound lane closures and junction 27’s on-slip being shut, with traffic diverted via Renfrew Road, A726 Niddry Street, St James Street, Greenock Road, the A726 and St James’ Interchange.
From December 3 to 6, eastbound lane closures will occur, affecting the M8 between junctions 28 and 27, alongside the on-slips from Glasgow Airport and the A737.
Airport-bound traffic will be diverted via the westbound junction 28 on-slip, exiting at junction 29 (St James’ Interchange) and circling the roundabout to rejoin the M8 eastbound at junction 29.
A737 traffic will follow the same diversion.
Emergency service vehicles will maintain access throughout these works.
