A road closure in Paisley is expected to last for almost two months.

Renfrewshire Council has confirmed that an eastbound stretch of Northcroft Street from Brick Lane to Abercorn Street, will be closed from Monday, January 12 to Thursday, March 5.

The closure is to allow work for the AMIDS South Project.

A prohibition on waiting and loading applies to the entire length of Northcroft Street during the same period.

Renfrewshire Council warns that any vehicles left on the road in contravention of the notice will be removed from the works area.

Emergency access will be maintained, and access to premises will be retained where possible.

Drivers are advised to use alternative routes via Brick Lane, Weir Street and Abercorn Street.

The restrictions will only be implemented when signs are in place, in line with traffic regulations.
