An Erskine man has been ordered to wear a tag for an extra month.

In October last year, Michael McGeachan was ordered to wear a tag for six months keeping him within his home address between selected hours after admitting to breaking into a shop in Glasgow’s Byres Road on April 20, 2023.

The 38-year-old stole a quantity of tobacco products, e-cigarette products, cigarette lighters and money.

However, McGeachan, of Rashielee Drive, breached his restriction of liberty order in November last year when he was “outside having a cigarette” outwith his curfew hours and when he “slept overnight at a friend’s house.”

Sheriff Simon Pender extended the order for one month meaning McGeachan’s order will now not expire until May this year.
