A new route has taken off connecting Glasgow to one of Europe’s most iconic destinations.
EasyJet’s inaugural flight from Glasgow Airport to Rome Fiumicino departed this morning, and will now operate up to four times per week.
This new route offers Scottish travellers convenient access to the Italian capital, known for its ancient landmarks, vibrant culture, and world-class cuisine.

Rome remains a top travel destination, attracting tourists with its blend of ancient ruins, renowned art, and culinary delights.
Some of its most famous attractions include the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon, and the Vatican Museums, home to Michelangelo’s celebrated Sistine Chapel ceiling.
The city’s lively trattorias serve up authentic Roman pasta dishes, while visitors can also enjoy fine dining experiences with views over historic ruins.
Picturesque strolls through cobbled streets and visits to landmarks like the Trevi Fountain continue to charm travellers from around the world.
Seats on the Glasgow to Rome route are now on sale at easyJet.com and via the airline’s mobile app, with prices starting from £20.49.
